We used to cancel things when the weather was bad. If it rained too much, soccer practice was canceled. If there were unplowed streets on the way to school, classes were canceled. And if we were too cozy on the couch to get up and go to work, we'd just cancel the entire day.

…Oh wait, that last one only happens in our dreams.

Once you reach a certain age, nothing is canceled for bad weather. No matter what the conditions look like outside, adult responsibilities wait like a stealth predator, hiding in the shadows until we're unaware and unable to defend ourselves. In this instance, the stealth predator I'm referring the declining food supply in your fridge or the 10 missed calls from your boss asking why you didn't show up for work today. One of these days, you'll have to crawl out of your cozy covers and slink into the inclement weather, but for this moment, procrastinate the inevitable and scroll through some silly bad weather memes from the comfort of the indoors.
